We can all live an extraordinary life just by being who we are.
This is my message to the world.
Last month I was honored to have my story featured on The Know Women’s website. Know has a global membership of amazing authentic women who are internationally known as leaders, creators, and entrepreneurs. I love belonging to a group of high-achieving women who are making a difference in the world.
It’s my belief that we can all make a difference, no matter who we are.
We are each exactly who we need to be to change our corner of the world. And we all have the ability to live an extraordinary life.
If you have a moment, visit The Known Women’s website, and read through my article “3 ‘Ordinary’ Pieces of Advice for Living an Extraordinary Life.” I share my story about adopting our son, Ari, from Ethiopia and some of the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
If you don’t have the time to read the entire article, here is a quick summary of three valuable pieces of advice that I’ve learned along my journey.
Embrace Change:
Change is going to come whether you like it or not. But every choice you make to embrace change puts you on the path to becoming a better version of who you are.
Stop Resisting New Opportunities:
We often resist new opportunities because we can’t get over our past experiences. Our greatest growth can come when we stop resisting the experiences life throws at us and lean into them.
Everything Happens for a Reason:
Things will happen in your life that you can’t do anything about. But you can’t just give up because things turn out differently than you expected. There are going to be many difficult yet defining moments in life. Learn from each one of them, show gratitude, and move forward.
These three lessons have vastly improved my life. I hope they do the same for you.
